Top High School Boys, Girls Basketball teams take part in annual King event at ShoWare Center

KENT – The 11th annual King Showcase Presented by Icelandic Glacial is set for Monday, Jan. 17 at the ShoWare Center with eight games – in a day to honor Dr. Martin Luther King.

The event will feature five boys games and three girls games and kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with a boys game between Kentlake and Auburn Riverside.

Some of the top teams in the state of Washington will be taking part in this annual event. The marquee matchup of the day will be Class 4A top-ranked Mount Si against Class 3A top 10 team Seattle Prep at 7:00 p.m. The No. 1-ranked Class 1A boys team King’s will face off with Tahoma at 5:00 p.m.

On the girls side, two top 10 Class 4A teams will square off at 3:30 with Lake Stevens taking on Tahoma. Another pair of top local girls teams will meet at 2:00 when Rogers and Auburn play.

Tickets are $10 at the door and $5 for seniors and students with ASB.
